Two weeks ago LAKERS won the Mandurah Marathon for the first time in a time of 1 hour 41 mins and 41 seconds by 5 boat lengths.
The course was split half the boats went one 8 kms return one way which included manoeuvring around a buoy then 12 kms the other way.
At no time in the race were you aware of your placing which made the race very interesting.
Presentations were held on the bank at the picturesque Ravenswood Hotel.
